Debra Venhaus’s practice is limited to the law of Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income ("SSI"). Her office is in Lynnwood, Washington, located in Snohomish County, and her practice includes representation from initial filing to administrative law judge hearings and appellate levels of review. Her clients include individuals of all ages disabled by injury and/or illness, such as: Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, Back Impairments, Cardiological Impairments, Traumatic Brain Injury, Organic Brain Damage, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, PTSD and other mental or physical impairments. She has practiced exclusively in the area of Social Security law since 1993.

Debra Venhaus received her Bachelor of Science degree in legal studies, with distinction, from Nova Southeastern University in 1989; she received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center in 1993. Ms. Venhaus began representing disabled individuals while still in law school and, appreciating the opportunity to help those in whose lives she could make a difference, began practicing exclusively in Social Security Law soon after graduation.
Debra Venhaus has practiced in numerous states and in a number of federal district courts of appeals. She has argued appeals before the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Eleventh Circuits, and is licensed to practice law in Washington State, Florida, Illinois and District of Columbia. Ms. Venhaus is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (“NOSSCR”) and is a member of MENSA. After representing claimants in other Social Security law firms, Ms. Venhaus openened her own Social Security law office in May 2002 in Lynnwood, Washington.
When not practicing law, Ms. Venhaus enjoys being outdoors in the great northwest, running and hiking, and spending time with her young son, Austin.
