The Attorneys
Mr. Glen D. WielandMr. Wieland is a native of Orlando, Florida. He did his undergraduate studies at Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and graduated from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
He has been practicing since 1982 and handles cases involving workers' compensation claims, social security disability claims, auto accident, product liability, slip and fall accidents, insurance litigation, employment related claims and general negligence claims. In 2002 and 2003, being selected as one of the top 55 lawyers in Central Florida by Orlando Magazine honored him. He has been board certified in Workers' Compensation since 1990.
He is past president of the Florida Workers' Advocates, and past chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association , The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, an Eagle Member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and a member of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group. In addition he has been selected for Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in Practicing Attorneys, Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, and selected by his peers to be included in the "Best Lawyers in America".
He is active in his community and church serving as Chancellor for his national and diocesan Anglican church, president of his home owners association, and a trustee of the Orlando Area Trust for the homeless, currently serving as chairman. He is married to Kennie Wieland and has two sons.
Mr. Alfred J. Hilado Mr. Hilado was born in Chicago, Illinois and was raised in Winter Haven, Florida. He did his undergraduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1990, he received his law degree form Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a finalist of the Environmental Law Moot Court and quarter finalist in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition.
He has been practicing since 1991 and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
He began his practice of law with the law firm of Zimmerman, Shuffield, Kiser, & Sutcliffe, P.A. where he represented employers and insurance companies in the defense of workers' compensation claims. He learned that he had significant compassion for injured workers, and in 1996 he decided to join Mr. Wieland and represent only injured workers and their families. Since that time he has made a significant impact in expanding benefits for injured workers by winning cases before The Supreme Court of Florida. He is an experienced attorney who has earned Board Certification by the Florida Bar Association in the area of Workers' Compensation. Mr. Hilado specializes in Workers' compensation cases as well as Social Security Disability claims.
He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, The Orange County Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers, and The Florida Workers' Advocates.
Mr. Hilado is married to Nan Hilado and has three sons.
Mr. Thomas DelattreMr. DeLattre is Associate Council with Wieland & Hilado P.A. He joined the firm in 1994 after having become a senior level claims administrator with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Mr. DeLattre has substantial experience in all areas of injury litigation including auto accidents, products liability, slip and falls, general negligence, and workers' compensation. Mr. DeLattre brings a unique perspective in representing accident victims because of his previous experience working for an insurance company.
He is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and a member of The Florida Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association since 2002. He is also a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and The Florida Workers' Advocates.
Mr. DeLattre was born in Cortlandt, New York and was raised in Syracuse, New York. He completed his undergraduate studies at Oneonta State University where he played NCAA division III basketball team, was awarded scholar athlete of the year in 1989, and was awarded the most outstanding performance by a male athlete in 1991.
He is a devoted father of twins and is married to Kelly Hyde-DeLattre.
