SHARON MAYNARD, Attorney was born in Wisconsin and grew up in California. She obtained her bachelors degree from UCLA in 1984, and her law degree in 1992 from Albany Law School in New York. She began her law career in Oregon as a trial lawyer with Metropolitan Public Defender (MPD) handling both felony and misdemeanor criminal matters. Her last year and a half at MPD, Sharon represented allegedly mentally ill persons in civil commitment proceedings, an experience which kindled a strong interest in representing disabled people. In 2001, Sharon changed her practice exclusively to Social Security Disability law and loves battling the Administration for her clients' rights at all stages of the application and appeals process, including Federal Court. Sharon is a frequent speaker regarding Social Security Disability both to organizations and medical providers. She is also the author of numerous articles on obtaining Social Security Disability benefits.
Sharon obtained her undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1984 and her law degree from Albany Law School in 1992. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, the Multnomah County Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR).
MARY-MARGARET JENKINS was born in Los Angeles, California. Before working in the legal field she was a TV news video editor and producer for broadcast television in San Francisco, Oakland, and Portland. She moved to the legal field after working with Northwest Pilot Project, a Portland agency that assists senior and disabled with housing and resources where she learned the fine art of interviewing and the more important skill of fighting for the rights of the disabled. She has been a Social Security paralegal since 1998 and loves supporting her clients and fighting the Social Security Administration. When she is not on the phone with her clients or Social Security, she enjoys bike commuting and mountaineering. Mary-Margaret is active in the Mazamas Mountaineering Club as a climb leader.
